Hello Listers I am new here. An aunt who died in 1972 used to write on high days and holidays to a Canadian cousin, Emma Ion. I have only just discovered the correct spelling in an ancient notebook. This gives a couple of long gone address locations which appear to have been jotted down during WW2. One seems to refer to Emma in the old fashioned way as Mrs. Oliver Ion. At that time she was living in Ravenscrag, Saskatchewan. Later the address changed to 1421 E Hastings St, Vancouver and later still to 136 West Broadway, Vancouver. I don't know where this cousin fits in. She may be a CHANT, a STANTON or a HANSFORD or a line I am not expecting. My families come from Somerset and Dorset. Is anyone able to help please? Hi John There are 20 plus listings for ION in BC, many of them in the Greater Vancouver Region, you can search at the following site. http://wp.superpages.ca/people.phtml?SRC=mybc&STYPE=WS There are also several ION's listed in the BC Archives B.
