    3. I grow up not far from where this family lived. The schools he would have attended were: grade 1-7 Bench School and Grade 8-10 would have been George Bonner in Mill Bay (yes that was the closest) and Grade 11-12 Cowichan Secondary in Duncan - that is if he went to public schools. If Anglican they would have been closer to St. Johns in Cobble Hill than St. Andrews in Cowichan Station - but not by much so both are worth checking. If Catholic the old St. Ann's church would have been the closest. Hope this is of some help. Carol _____________________ Local newspapers would likely have carried a story so that is an option available (usually only fee is photocopying). Local schools would also have some records - perhaps year books or pictures of classes. Church records are available and perhaps the church administrators would assist out of kindness for no fee. http://aabc.bc.ca/WWW.angbc.archbc/display.ANGBC-203 a clip from their site Display - British Columbia Archival Union List (BCAUL) Provenance: St. John the Baptist Parish (Cobble Hill, B.C.)
