    3. Hi everyone, I'll check this out with Rootsweb but I think what's happening here is that the virus sends itself back to any address it has messages from, so it doesn't have to go through Rootsweb to get to you. If you sent a message to the list, the virus just sends a reply and it comes to you. This one is very obvious to me, as it always says "Take a look to the attachment"- the grammar error leaps out at me- the attachment's file name changes- one of mine said hamster.zip (much more polite than YOU_are_FAT!.TXT.pif). Because I have a Mac, most virus/worms don't affect me but if you have a PC, you should be sure to have an updated anti-virus scanner. I'll ask Rootsweb if they recommend changing the reply options so that they go to the list as a default, rather than to the sender. They had recommended that it be set up like this, so I'll see if they still do. 3. Thanks, Pam! If you can do anything, we will be grateful. I wrote to Ann Woolley -- but no answer -- I politely asked her to check her computer - just in case. 3. Hi Muriel and all, It is quite possible that Ann Woolley - is not aware that the messages that have been sent - contain a virus. She may not be a person who checks her e mails daily - {my sister in law checks hers aprox every 2 weeks or so } and prior to her having an at home computer - her e mail was checked at work - but again, not every day. Being summer time - Ann may even be on Vacation - and unaware of any problem. I am sure that if she was aware of the problem she would contact the lists and persons that have been infected. The only other reason that I can see for her not being in touch is - if - she has received angry messages from people who have received the e mails -Some people can be very harsh - reprimanding her for something that she might not have any control over - and their messages angry enough - to frighten a person. Not every virus checker - catches every virus. My best friend works for a very large multi national company. A virus found its way into their system - and infected everything - They were supposed to be Well Protected with the most up to date virus checkers - An e mail from her - also infected my computer - again - we are very well protected -always updating.-but it got through. but was taken care of..
