Hi Viola, Follow any leads that you get. 1. Is the White Earth Indian Reservation Chippewa? If so - please do get in touch with them. 2. You are looking at Gail Morins Book ( ????). When was it published ? Get in touch with the Author - Gail Morin ? 3. The following is a web site CHIPPEWA CREE Tribal Council. Appears to be much information at that site - contact them - they may be able to give you some references to follow. This site is in Montana U.S.A. http://tlc.wtp.net/chippewa.htm http://tlc.wtp.net/salish.htm Contact Gail Morins: http://www.televar.com/~gmorin/index.html Chippewa Half Breeds of Lake Superior, by: Gail Morin, This volume contains the alphabetized extractions concerning the applicants for the Half-Breed Scrip issued to the Chipewas of Lake Superior. The source if House Executive Document 193, 42d Congress, 2d session. The page number at the end of each entries refers to the schedule or list where it was located. More Information Northwest Half-Breed Script- 1885 by: Gail Morin, Author's Notes: He suggested that all of the information could be found in the Scrip Records, but it was difficuly to access. With the Glenbow Archives and Library's generous loan of the Manitoba Scrip and the North-West Half-Breed Scrip microfilm, I begun to make his suggestion a reality. More Information Hope this will be of help. Cheers, Stella At 12:17 PM 10/6/01 -0500, Viola Seward wrote: >Hello.
