    3. I am very new to the list, and having just read David Fancy's posting on the BC Archives, I decide to give it a try. I found a cousin, Luigi DelTedesco, died 5/24/1953, there is a reg number; 1953-09-005594 BC Archives microfilm number; B13216 GSU Microfilm number; 2032875 He died in Powell River, which I am going to assume is a town...Now how do I go about finding out if there is more information in the Archives, or on Microfilm? I am in Italy, so any help would be greatly appreciated, and if I can help anyone out on this end...please let me know, thanks, Riccarda Mescola

Riccardo http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/FHC/frameset_fhc.asp To search and see if you have a LDS FHC (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - Family History Centers) somewhere in your vicinity of area of travel (if not, often there is some kind soul who will assist your research - greatly appreciated by those, like myself, who are unable to visit FHCs) What is a Family History Center: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/FHC/frameset_fhc.asp?PAGE=library_fh c_about.asp http://www.vs.gov.bc.ca/genealogy/microfilm.html For a list of organization which: have a copy of the microfilm collection of birth registrations 1872-1899 (100 years old), marriage registrations 1872-1925 (75 years old) and death registrations 1872-1980 (20 years old) is held by each of the following organizations (which includes the LDS FHS) I've no doubt that there will come a time that I will be researching my X's surname (Stuppiello, his father (Mathew) and uncle (Joseph) immigrated from Mt. St. Angeles (south east of Rome) and will make note of your Email address, if you do not mind. 3. Hi Riccarda, If no one else has offered - I can take a look at the death registration for you. and either send you a photo copy - or e mail the information found - to you. Unfortunately I cannot help with an obituary ( I will search the Vancouver Papers - but the obit may not have been published in Vancouver papers). There are Volunteers at the following site - who take cemetery photo's. They also do Public Record lookups - but since I will be doing a few lookups - I will do those for you. http://www.raogk.org/bcolumbia.htm Prince George Public Library may be able to help with an obit. http://www.lib.pg.bc.ca/ With Information found on the Death Registration - we may be able to find further information for you.
