Hi, This last set has pictures of my grandmother Catherine, and some relatives or girlfriends, probably taken at either England or New York, and then one last picture of the small house at Burquitlam. I'd have to think my grandparents lived at the Burquitlam house, as they photographed it so much. After leaving England, Granddad, who grew up in a farm labour family, and then worked in a shoe factory at Kettering Nothhamptonshire England, sailed to Canada, and then moved to the USA for a while. After working at a steel mill at Detroit, for a time, he worked his way across the USA to Spokane Washington doing farm work. At Spokane, he learned to cook at one of the large hotels there, working with the chefs. By 1911 he was at Salmo, but seems to have missed both the 1910 USA census and the Canada 1911 census. Rats! Anyway, after all that, I can believe that Granddad would fit right in with this rural property at Burquitlam, but they moved on at some point. Jim Bundy
