Hi there I am wondering please if anyone can help me if I send an obit. from 1930 in Vancouver as a JPEG if you could help me with a surname in the obit. Everything is crystal clear in the obit except for what looks like as a surviving sister Mrs. J. J. LAPOP of Washington, DC. No one in the family of the subject in the obit. is familiar with LAPOP. I have googled LAPOP and searched for the name on the 1881 census in England, US and Canada plus the free BMD in England, the BMD in BC. I have used soundex on rootsweb and tried the IGI and the 1901 and 1911 census in Canada just to see if the name exists at all. I am hoping I can send the obit. to someone and they will take a look at it and know it instantly. Or perhaps I am dreaming but I must try. thanks so much Best in 2007 Judy
