Hi Mary, My Grandmother, who was Nisga'a, went to school at Metlakatla in 1904. This school was run by the Church Missionary Society. William Duncan was the founder and leader of Metlakatla which was situated near Prince Rupert on the Skeena River. There are quite a few books about this village. I have read The Devil and Mr. Duncan. If you Google Metlakatla (this is the correct spelling) you'll come up with all sorts of things. Also, The Diocese of New Caledonia in Prince Rupert has a great many CMS records. Their archivist, Cliff Armstrong, has helped me immensely. Good Luck!
