Hi, Yet another ghost town these days, Wingdam was a very active mine, but was built underneath Lightning Creek, which eventually caved in on it. The miners came running out just in time to avoid disaster. In the 1960's my family took a vacation up there, and stopped to look around, before continuing on to Barkerville, after leaving the highway at Quesnel. By the time pf this photo, my Dad was old enough to spend time up there with his parents, and worked as "flunky" in the cookhouse during summers. Jim Bundy
Hi Jim, Rootsweb doesn't allow attachments, so I've not seen any of your photos. When you get time, do you have any general photos of cooking at a logging camp? Also, do you have any of Pincher Creek? I have an old deed from there, but can't find any further info on it. Thanks.
