Felix did not set the fire deliberately, but fell asleep with a cigarette, no one was hurt,except the bird! He was a barber and lived at 2767 TURNER st. Then in 1917 he was the owner of the Empress Barber shop at 2638 PENDER ST E. After that, I have no clue. My grandmother remarried in 1923. In the BC ARCHIVES vital stats, there is a Felix Lewis that died in 1951, but unfortunately, this is not mine! This was an italian family. Could anyone tell me what became of the Empress barber Shop?
