Hello , I Just received documents on my Grandmother from her Native files in the Seattle Archives .., Long story short, she contracted the disease T.B. In 1941 , and the " Children Aid Society " stepped in and took my mom and her 4 sisters via a Court Order .... Ok, at the time the Indian Agency of Oregon sent check's of money to this Children Aid society for the care of my mother ans sisters . ? # 1) Why would an American Indian Agency send money for my mom and sisters ? ? # 2 ) None of it was every used PROPERLY for the care of my mom and sisters . After the TB. Was gone she tried getting mom and sisters back but was not a loud too ? If anyone has researched their family to do with this " Childrens Aid " please inlitghten me if you can on how they worked ?? Thank You , Diane in Willy's P
