The dry, technical answer is: Name: Princeton Province: British Columbia Feature type: Town Location: Yale Division Yale Latitude: 49° 27' 30" N Longitude: 120° 30' 30" W Bill, anytime you want to locate something geographical (towns, rivers, mountains, big rocks...) in Canada, one of the most interesting and versatile tools to use is the federal government's Canadian Geographical Database at: <http://geonames.nrcan.gc.ca/english/cgndb.html> And when you find the place you're looking for, the database gives you the ability to list all the communities and what-not that surround it. This can be tres cool when you want to see if relatives lived nearby. Besides the dry technical report, which I gave you above, the fed's site also has a link to a plain old map. (The link uses calculations, so I can't give you a web address to go directly to the map.) There are other great electronic maps for just about anywhere in the world, however, and one of the best is Multimap, located in England: <http://www.multimap.com/home.html> The Mulitmap link showing Princeton on a road map is here: <http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=europemac&=&overviewmap=w3&co untry=Canada&lat=49.4563&client=europemac&db=w3&cname=&lon=-120.5050&scale=1 000000&region=British+Columbia&coordsys=&SUBMIT=Find&place=Princeton> (NOTE: The above website address must be one continuous line between the angle brackets to work properly, but the Internet postal robots may have inserted an artificial carriage return or space in it because of its length. Such a break prevents it from working correctly when you click it. Just remove the break, and the URL will work properly.) ***** Peter Morgan * Morgan:Newsletters * 604.683.3241 * pmorgan@morgan-news.com News that sells * #118, 970 Burrard St., Vancouver, B.C., V6Z 2R4, Canada All those who believe in telekinesis, raise my hand.
