    3. Monday 5:30 P.M. Well, I am ready for whatever comes tomorrow when I meet with my 4 doctors. I have spent the last 3 days cleaning house and getting all ready for the hospital stay. Have my ditty bag packed and if they say they want me to go to the hospital tomorrow--I am ready!! I baked on Sat and made 2 large fruitcake and 3 large cherry pound cakes and mixed up four batches of English Tea Cakes which I chilled to bake off on Sunday. On Sunday I made a 9"x13" carrot cake also. Then I made a huge pot of chicken /veggie soup. Today I cleaned the whole downstairs while Jack ran errands just before noon. Then this afternoon I cleaned the upstairs and then washed and set my hair. Don't want to go into hospital with out having done my hair!! I would really like it if they would have things all planned and I could just go in and have this surgery done. In the am today I went over to the hospital to have a Pulmonary Function Test and I was ever so pleased at how well I did. Even after that bout of asthma (as a result of that bad cold I had in Jan.) I really had very good lung capacity. The Tech made me a copy to take to Seattle because I had told him I was going to have cancer surgery. He was interested and then told me he'd had a melanoma type one removed 8 years ago and so far no reoccurrence. He said the doctors in Seattle were going to love seeing this PFT results!!!! The gal who took my blood for the blood gas test , asked what I was going to Seattle for. After I told her, she looked kind of stricken and said her hubby had a lipoma on his back and he did not give it much thought--but maybe he should. I told her to get him into the doctor right away as I had two others that were not malignant but third was not a charm!!! I hope I helped him get help before things went sour for him. I say to all of you--check yourself from stem to stern and if you find something rush to your doctor. John and I will be off to Seattle before 7 am and are eager to meet this team of doctors. Janis is awaiting my call and then she will hop on the plane to come up. Cupboards are all loaded as is the freezer and 2 refrigerators. I bet she and Jack eat out though as Janis loves to come up and enjoy all our good restaurants. She is not that wild about cooking but can if need arises!!! They will do fine. Now I will love you and leave you. The best part of my journey is that I have Jesus as my Lord and Savior so no matter what befalls me, I have Him with me to uphold me and comfort me. He gives me the strength to get through each day. I would wish that for all of you . God loves you and so do I. Thanks for your good wish and prayers. I am comforted by your love and concern for my well being. I am thinking positive thoughts!! Always , Joyce.
