For those who did not read my earlier posting, this video/cd was taken in the early 50's and follows ALL the old Tram lines throughout the Lower Mainland including Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster and as far out as Chilliwack. Some of the pictures are taken while the photographer was aboard the Tram and shows all the buildings, houses, cars and pedestrians in the area. Other pictures are of the Trams themselves as they roll by. It's fascinating to see Vancouver and all the outlying areas as they once were. Imagine a time when Metrotown was just bush!!! A feature of the film shows the popular open-air tourist tram, its operators and entertainers. Many of the employees are mentioned by name and the film is fully narrated. I do not have any affiliation with the Tram Museum and will not receive any payment or gift as the result of any sales. The profits from the sale of this film go back into the Tram Museum and helps with the restoration of old trams and the running of the Tram Line that travels from Granville Island to Science World and then (I believe) to the Roundhouse.
