I'm interested in The Glans of Burns Lake. I would love to find out more about Jonas Glans's parents and grandparents. My family name at one point, was Glans....my great grandfather Erik Per S�derlund Glans came to America in 1881...he was in his 40s by then. He had a wife in Sweden, who had died, and he remarried and they came to America. The name Glans was taken while in the military in Forsa, Gavleborg, Sweden. My Erik PEr came to settle in Meriden, Ct....after landing in Castle Garden. I would love to find out about the Jonas Glans of Burns Lake..I see in 1943 he started an electirc company. I have browsed the Burns LAke site a bit..but wouldlove to learn more. I would also like to share my Glans family info. My Glans became Glantz the 2nd generation..in America. Per Erick's name before Glans was S�derlund..he was from Matfors, Tuna PArish. He had worked in the sawmills but they closed. I wonder what brought Jonas Glans to Burns LAke?
