Carol, As I mentioned on the list to Claudia my experence has been that a number of the British born I have research do not turn up in the Immigration data base either. Although I know for a fact they arrived in the time frame the data base covers and they sailed directly to Canada. Reason for that is a bit unclear - possible passenger lists are missing or the immigration process for British subjects was a bit more relaxed - actually we know it was:-) or prehaps they claimed they were only coming for a vacation and were not recorded as immigrating? ... hard to know the reasons why they do not appear in the data base. Bottom line is that I would not assume they did not come to Canada just because they do not appear in the immigration data base. I believe you have already found a vital event for one of them here so my guess is they missed the data base as mine somehow managed to do or they came via the US. As my family were British it appears that they didn't need full immigration, so may not show up on immigration records (they are certainly not online on 1925-1935 list).
