Hi List, I heard from the Automated Reply system at the B.C. Archives on Wednesday. In a nutshell this was the answer to my query. "Remote general reference inquiry service is suspended. Unfortunately we are unable to answer your request. B.C. Archives Staff are being re-allocated so they can review records required for litigation and other research. ......... This service suspension will be reviewed on March 31, 2005." So it looks like it will be awhile before I get my answer, if I get one at all. Thankyou to everyone on the list who answered me, and all your suggestions. Someone also suggested that if there were a Cornoners Inquest held the Death may not have made it onto the index.
