Bridget, I had a look put could not find him either. Due to the time and location a couple of things came to mind. One I grow up in that area and it is not a big place so it is possible that on Christmas Eve in 1976 the paper work was taken home and never filed? Just a thought! :-) As luck would have it I found out the hard way that even in Christmas 2004 the hospital was very very short staffed. Also wondered about were he actually died and how he died? - that might give some additional clues as to why we can't find him. I would be so pleased if someone has better luck than I did, and I tried every which way I could think of. Different spellings of BAILLIE. No name, just year and place. Then no name, no place, just year. Then no year, just first name and place.
