    3. Judy: Yes, it's the registration, and should contain bride's and groom's parents' names, birthplaces etc., but why spend twenty dollars when you can get it for nearly nothing? In fact, I can pick that up for you on Monday, just as a volunteer. Can't do a bunch of them, but getting one registration once in a while is no problem. The thing is, I hate to see people spending ridiculous amounts of money for documents that they can get several other ways for much less. Depending on your needs you could also have... Ordered the microfilm by the GSU number, at your nearest LDS Family History Center at much lower cost. Borrowed the microfilm by interlibrary loan at your local library and copied it yourself for maybe 25 cents. Used one of the document retrieval services...lots of people here have paid five dollars or less that way. Contacted the Victoria Genealogy Society and got one for ten dollars (money that advances genealogy) Hired a researcher for an hour and got about TEN different documents for less than cost of two digital images. Asked a volunteer on RAGK website...(Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness) to get it for just their costs. Asked for a volunteer on this list to get it for you when they have the time, for cost of postage & photocopying. I'm at the Archives for my work anyway, and it will take me three minutes to get that copy, and another five to mail it to you. As you can imagine, I strongly disapprove of the company that charges such a high price for things that are available almost free. And I did not like the quality of the digital images I have seen provided. Just send me your mailing address, and if you aren't sure this is the correct marriage record, but know what the bride's parents' names SHOULD be, let me know that too.
