ONTARIO seems to be "stuck" at one percentge point so did some checking for problem spots. I found several and remember, not only people from Ontario may transcribe from the images. http://automatedgenealogy.com/census11/ One does not "volunteer" but must Sign In with email address as userid and with a personal password. Before starting on transcribing even one line, please note Frequently Asked Questions (under completion) -- these should be read. Problem spots in Ontario are:- Hastings West - 92.35%; Nipissing - 88.84; Toronto East - 86.27% Toronto West - 74.73%; with Ontario's percentage 97.93% Check on OTTAWA -- only Byward has 3 pages claimed 2009-09-04 The other area in Ottawa is District 31 - Ottawa ward, Ottawa, including Rawdon Townshp. Sidney and 3 Belleville districts. Across the country we see Alberta - 52.3%; British Columbia 61.63%; Manitoba 88.11%; Quebec 83.33% and Saskatchewan 59.03. After checking many of the pages, try claiming at 49 lines (just a suggestion) as many have been claimed with 1 or 2 lines transcribed. Also, if writing is poorly, someone else might be able to finish the page -- We had better watch out for Manitoba, also Quebec!!! Muriel M. Do not forget MY PAGES and CORRECTIONS posted below the names of provinces -- I have started some, but will try and finish before I am again computerless!!! Trying to save family history, and finding out which programs accept PAF 2.31!
