Hi, Before responding to them individually, I'd like to publicly thank Stella, Gary, and Louise for all their helpful comments re the set of photos I scanned yesterday. I took Dad up to Vancouver last year, especially the West End where he and his parents lived in a series of boarding houses, all gone now. I hadn't been there for a while myself, and couldn't believe how its changed in just the last 10 years! Dad can't remember now being there last year, but he did enjoy that day while we were driving around. As is usual with his type of condition, Dad has clear memories of long ago, his years at Lord Roberts El, King George High, UBC, etc, in addition to helping his parents during summers spent out in the province cooking, he as kitchen helper or "flunky".
