    3. Hello Fellow Listers! I was wondering, if, there was anyone out there who might be able to assist me in acquiring for Secerecy Act Forms to get my father's Regimental Number for the Canadian Air Force? Is there a website to this, or, a ph/fax #, please? If, there is no website, just the SNAIL MAIL will do. Thank you very much. Shannah

    3. Shannah: What number are you looking for exactly? Was your father in the Air Force post-integration(1968)? Called Canadian Armed Forces (Air) or was he with the RCAF? If your father was in the Air Force(RCAF) he would not be in a regiment. That is Army terminology. If your father worked as a navigator, pilot or related operational trade(ie:airframe mechanic) he would be attached to a squadron. Squadrons are numbered. These numbers sometimes change with the different role of a squadron, but sqn.histories online show the timeline and number changes. If he was a driver, fireman or a support person, he would be in a 'section'. Pre-integration a base was called an RCAF Station. Many (stations) are represented on the internet. Do you know where he served? If he was in the Air Force post integration, he could be attached to an Army base or serve on a ship ! WW RCAF ArchiviaNet the search engine for Canada's Archives gives data on veterans of the 1st & 2nd WW's. RCAF ID number,CAF ID numbers, Regiment and/or Squadron numbers are not private information. With a few more clues, I could perhaps point you in the right direction. Penny
