Hello i was surfing through a drawer yesterday and happened to come across some info about my dad's side of the family, and thought i would share what i have found so far with you, perhaps this will help me find out more about my other family members,Relatives, and Ancestors with your help, if you can and or want to help me research my roots anything would be great appreciated thanks sincerely C Freethy My Gr Gr Gpa Edward Pannell-Quennel (Quennel is the last name he used to change his identity after jumping ship), was born on December 16th 1848 in Sussex England to Walter & Catherine Pannell, (Edward) then immigrated to Nanaimo British Columbia on September 1864 being when he (Edward) was 18 years old & in the Navy, Nanaimo's where he( Edward) met & had 3 children with Julie this all took place in 1870's and possibly had their last child in 1875 before he (Edward) married again in 1876 to Maria Biggs whom they had 10 children, which quite possibly among them my gr grandma Edith was born, so either julie or Maria may have been my gr gr grandmother ( I will find out), Maria's Father is John Biggs, so quite possibly Maria is my great great grandmother because my gr gr gr grandfather John Biggs was mentioned. so as you can see that I have used my great great grandfather's name on numerous occasions so that you know who i'm referring to, hope that's alright, I will research the Freethy, Martindale and Pemberton Lineage's after i have finished, and perhaps found all that i can find for now, i'm quite pleased that i have finally broken through, tore down, and destroyed the brick wall that has kept me from moving on.
