Hi Patricia, I will be doing some lookups - and can include yours if no one else has. offered. For the newspaper - Fernie probably did have a paper at that time. Copies are quite likely held in the Provincial Archive in Victoria. I have found that most newspapers no longer keep their papers archived - Some Public Libraries -may also have their local newspapers archived on microfilm.
