So very many folk had cameras of their own by the end of the 1940s/early 1950s, perhaps very few were buying the 'street photographers', by then. Think nearly every family had access to at least one 'Brownie Box Camera', although I'm not clear on when the original first hit the market. My own parents had one and/or a similar style by 1950. Must say though, the 'street' photos are in remarkably good shape; quite similar to the 'postcard' style. Have a hoard of the latter (mostly from the UK) and not a clue as to who any of the folk are ... family we presume due to source .. but who are they?? Toni ~ Ontario
