Hi, I'm new here today & hoping for a big breakthrough! A kind fellow on the ARGYLL-L just gave me a clue that might set the whole brick wall tumbling down - my lost relative may have died in BC! Of the 9 children of Thomas JOHNSTON & Agnes KERR of Crear, Kilberry & Kilcalmonell, Argyll, Scotland, only 1 remains unaccounted for. Annie Kerr JOHNSTON was born there in 1894. Her family nickname may have been "Dolly". Last year, a very rough family tree surfaced in Australia (long story!) & it stated simply that Annie went "to Canada, had 4 boys, 1 girl". My theory is that she met a Canadian soldier during WW1 & came to Canada to live. Unfortunately, I have no married name. However, my new clue says that an Annie Kerr JOHNSTON died at age 66 years, on January 18, 1961, in Vancouver. Hmmm - I wonder? Can SKS tell me any more? Yes, I have looked on bcarchives. Would purchasing a death reg. from there give me any further info. (birthplace, spouse etc.)? Thank you so much!! Mary
