Greetings All. As expected, Parliament has recessed for the winter break. The Senate adjourned on Wednesday, 15 December without having resumed debate on Bill S-18. The Bill remains adjourned in the name of Senator Kinsella. The Senate resumes sitting at 2:00 PM Tuesday, 1 February 2005 and the House of Commons resumes sitting at 11:00 AM Monday, 31 January 2005. When wishing Seasons Greetings to your favourite MP or Senator don't forget to remind them that speedy passage of Bill S-18 is very important to genealogists and historians. Visiting my son in Calgary, the temperatures are dropping as we get closer to Christmas day. Minus 12 degrees overnight with expectations of minus 17 degrees for tomorrow. A little cooler than I am used to at home, 25 miles east of Vancouver. My Christmas wish for all of you is that at least one, if not all of your genealogical 'brick walls', come tumbling down.
