In my search for ancestor vital stats, I have run into 4 instances now where the vital event is not found on the BC archives index search. Three are births and one is a death. Would anyone have an idea of how I could get the info, or is it most likely something that has fallen through the cracks and will not likely be found. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated. Death of Thomas Cairns on March 8, 1909 in Nelson, BC. I have the obituary from the Nelson Daily News. Births of 3 children in Vancouver ( names and dates from the 1901 census) Annie Cecelia Straube - born 20 Dec. 1887 Valentine Anthony Straube - born 25 March, 1889 Charles Straube - born 7 June, 1890 Parents are Valerian and Julia Straube. Coincidently, I found the 4th child ( Julia, born in 1894) on the BC archives index under the name of Stranbe, but no amount of inventive searching brought up any of the others, even just by year date search alone.
