Hi, "CATT" Because we are in the business of finding rare and/or expensive books that we can re-publish on CD for people like you, we have some expertise in tracking down things like this. (Just as an aside, I don't tell this list what we have available of interest to the BC area because your list administrator has told me she doesn't want our information posted on this list. Unfortunately this also means we don't look for books in on your area.) Your book was a little hard to find so I think it is very rare indeed. I did find one record of it in the Library of Canada and I've made a copy of that record below (converting it to "plane text" for posting has messed up the formatting but I think you should still be able to understand it.): AMICUS No. 28823982 (this is an important number for finding it again) Monograph TITLE(S):*Tales and legends of the Upperward of Lanarkshire PUBLISHER: Biggar, Scotland : D. Lockhart, 1860 DESCRIPTION: 1 v. (various pagings) SUBJECTS: Legends--Scotland--Lanarkshire Lanarkshire (Scotland)--History I also checked the location of this only copy and it's held at the University of Guelph, McLaughlin Library and it's Interlibrary Loan Holdings Summary number is: DA 880.L2 T34. I tried to understand if the book was available for interlibrary loan but it said it was available in one page and then said it was not available on the next page. I'd say your best bet would be to take this information to your local public library and get someone who knows their way around the technicalities of the Canadian ILL system to give you a hand. It was clear that the Guelph library would make copies for you on request, but it looked a little expensive if you didn't know exactly what pages you wanted. Incidentally, I also checked the World-wide availability of copies of this book for sale and there were none! That's only about the second time I've ever completely failed to find a copy of a book for sale at ANY price! That's why I think it is a very rare book. Hope this is of help to you.
