To all:- This is not the usual tabulation -- but instead, a count of petition undelivered as yet to Senator Lorna Milne. Newfoundland-Labrador --- ZERO Prince Edward Island -------ZERO Nova Scotia ------------------------ 72 New Brunswick ------------ZERO Quebec --------------------ZERO Ontario -----------------------------179 Manitoba --------------------------- 69 Saskatchewan ---------------------- 9 Alberta ---------------------ZERO British Columbia -------------------- 25 Non-Resident ---------------------- 26 TOTAL Canadian Petitions = 354 Many of us are searching, as I am, for someone who served overseas in world War One and did not return. This year has been proclaimed as "2005: The Year of the Veteran" This should be a great reason to assist Senator Lorna Milne in the Senate and then The Hon. Don Boudria in the House of Commons. PLEASE download petitions from http://www.globalgenealogy.com/Census/index.htm Addresses are also at this site -- please enclose Page 1!! As of today, our postage has increased by 1¢ - total 50¢ for each letter when sending petitions to Gordon or myself. One does not need to use large envelopes -- these cost more, but fold the petitions in regular size envelopes -- I have my old way of flattening these -- do not worry!! Let's increase the above number before January 30th -- when I deliver petitions to Senator Lorna Milne -- I also have some to forward to Gordon Watts -- we exchange!! I am very pleased many genealogy societies are among the number, also names were very familiar on petitions from Liverpool, and Bridgewater, Nova Scotia --- keep them coming, please!! A full tabulation next time and please enclose name of sender! Muriel M. Davidson [email protected] Co-Chair, Canada Census Committee 25 Crestview Avenue, Brampton, ON L6W 2R8
