    1. Thanks ! (trip to Vancouver)

    3. I would like to thanks everyone for their responses! I am trying to organize all of my info before I go so that it will be easy to figure out what I want to look up! I was in Vancouver and Victoria 2 years ago, but did not do any searching as it is hard to explain to family that you haven't seen in years that you want to go sit at the library and walk around cemeteries, as well as visit with them! This time I am visiting cousins I haven't seen in 25 years, so I can't just leave and go searching...I have to plan out exactly what I need to try to make some effective use of my visit! I am glad to hear that the libraries around have good genealogical resources. I don't think I am going to have time to get to Victoria, though..but things may change. My Mom grew up in Esquimalt, so I wouldn't mind checking it out. Thanks again for all of the input from everybody! Carol in London, Ontario. -- Internal Virus Database is out-of-date. 3. Hi Carol, Thought you might like to see an air photo - of the downtown Vancouver area - and the Public Library. http://www.globalairphotos.com/large/bc/Vancouver/downtown/2003/487/2 http://www.globalairphotos.com/large/bc/Vancouver/downtown/2003/486/2 http://www.globalairphotos.com/large/bc/Vancouver/downtown/2003/485/2 http://www.globalairphotos.com/large/bc/Vancouver/downtown/2004/372/2 http://www.globalairphotos.com/large/bc/Vancouver/downtown/2003/560/2 http://www.globalairphotos.com/large/bc/Vancouver/downtown/2003/467/2 From City of New Westminster - Looking over Burnaby and Central park - towards Downtown Vancouver - Stanley park .N&W Shore. http://www.globalairphotos.com/large/BC/New_Westminster/Downtown/2004/018/2 As others have mentioned - The Cloverdale Library is a treasure.and if you can find time - a wonderful place to research. But travel time from Vancouver - by bus - takes up so much time -[at least a few years back] with transfers etc.-that one looses a lot of research time .
