Hello May There really isn't any place you can check this. The obits for the Calgary Herald have only been online since May 2002. Likewise for the Edmonton Journal but they are the only 2 that I know of that have them online. You can check the Alberta Family History Society's web site and do a search for the name/s you are interested in. They have transcribed most of the cemeteries in the south part of the province. http://www.afhs.ab.ca/ . http://www.compusmart.ab.ca/abgensoc/ Is the web site for the Alberta Genealogical Society which covers the province from about Red Deer north. They have transcripts of cemeteries in their area. There will be a charge from either group if you want further information though, presuming you find a name you are interested in.
