The Edmonton Public Library http://www.epl.ca/Portal.cfm?tc=001 on the right hand side Edmonton Obituaries indexed for February 1, 1973 to September 30, 1981 Easily searchable. Also there is another site I came across, http://www.canobits.ca/ which indexes quite a few obituaries, but difficult to determine what paper they are in.
