The people went out on their own to get land and this made Capt Campbell angry. I have a book I got from one of our members on this. It covers all who came, each patent, who the orignal owner was, and who ended up with the land. Most of those who came ended up elsewhere, as it took so long to sort the mess out...grandchildren ended up with the land, but sold to others & investors.
