The John Campbell listed in the Ancestral File as a son of George Campbell is claimed to have been born circa 1756-1760 and to have died at Greensville, , VA in Jan 1803. His wife supposedly was named Frances. The Revolutionary War pension files includes a record for a John Campbell whose wife is named Frances. The will states that this John was born in Amherst City, VA in 1750. He lived there all of his life and died 29 Jan 1838. This pension application includes names of children.
