    1. [Campbell] REALITY IS NOT ALWAYS AGGREABLE WITH ALL <LIST MOM PLEASE CUZ AT
    2. PLEASE, COUSINS, HERE IS A FACT THAT CAN REALY CONFUSE; THE CHILD NAMEING PRACTICE, tHIS WOULD RESULT IN SEVERAL MEMBERS OF THE SAME FAMILY HAVEING THE SAME FIRST & LAST NAME: FOR INSTANCE, IF THERE WAS A JOHN CAMPBBELL <??> WHOSE FATHER WAS JOHN ,??. wHOSE FATHER IN LAW WAS JOHN, CHILD NAMEING PRACTICE; FATHER, JOHN NAMES FIRST SON AFTER HIS FATHER , # ONE JOHN: 2ND SON AFTER MOTHERS FATHER, ,3 JOHNS. THIRD SON AFTER FATHER HERE THREE SONS NAMED JOHN. RESULTS; THERE ARE NOW FOUR JOHN CAMPBELL'S IN THE SAME FAMILY/ OH YES THAT IS HOW IT DID HAPPEN, WITH,,<JOHN, HENRY, GEORGE OR PATRICK. NOW WITH OUR JOHN CAMPBELL MY INFORMATION ,1674 TO 1707 <???> COULD HAVE LEFT SCOTLAND FOR AMERICA, & HIS THIRD BROTHER JOHN, <???> LEFT SCOTLAND FOR BARBADOS. NOW, COUSINS, SEE HOW EASY IT WOULD BE TO GET A <D. N. A. MATCH BETWEEN THE JOHN CAMPBELL IN BARBADOS & THE JOHN CAMPBELL DESCENDANTS, IN AMERICA. FACEING THE RREAL WORLD, THAT IS HOW MANY THINGS HAPPEND, NOT WANTING TO ACEPT THE POTENTIAL, IS ONLY GOING TO CONTINUE OUR MISTAKES. please comment, CUZ A T ,atpowelljr@aol.com> There was even a convention in the order in which the ancestors were honored – probably to avoid insulting anyone. Although it was far from universally used, the usual British naming convention was as follows: • The first son was named after the paternal grandfather • The second son was named after the maternal grandfather • The third son was named after the father • The fourth son was named after the oldest paternal uncle • The fifth was named after the second oldest paternal uncle or the oldest maternal uncle PLEASE GIVE SOME THOUGHT HERE;JUST SUPPOSE ALL OF THESE FAMILY MEMBERS WOULD HAVE HAD THE SAME NAME <IT COULD HAVE BEEN POSIABLE. THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN 6 PEOPLE WITH THE SAME FIRST & LAST NAME IN ONE FAMILY, MAYBE NOT, <but WITH 290 YEARS NOT KNOWING MY 5TH GREAT MOTHERS ,MADEIN NAME???> I WILL GIVE SOME THOUGHT TO THE CHILD NAMEING PRACTICE, INSTEAD OF IMAGEINIATION. PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR OLE GEORGE CAMPBELL & CATTY <UNK> HAD TWO SONS WITH GEORGE ACORDING my INFORMATION, GEORGE CAMPBELL BORN IN 1743 & WILLIAM GEORGE BORN IN 1754 CURRENTLY; ONE OF MY LATE BROTHERS, 3 MARRIAGES; TWO SONS; BOTH WITH HIS FIRST NAME. CUZ AT • The first daughter was named after the maternal grandmother • The second daughter was named after the paternal grandmother • The third daughter was named after the mother • The fourth daughter was named after the oldest maternal aunt • The fifth was named after the second oldest maternal aunt or the oldest paternal aunt If there was duplication (for example, the paternal grandfather and the father had the same name), then the family moved to the next position on the list
