Am looking for any info on Audley Campbell, born abt 1768 to 1770, probably in Augusta County Virginia, where he married in 1791 to Mary Elliott. Audley was the probably the son of George Campbell and Margaret ? Campbell. George Campbell died in April of 1777 in Amherst County Virginia. Margaret remarried John Henderson. Mary (Elliott) Campbell died about 1805/07 in Madison County Kentucky. Audley married second Hannah McSwain on April 1, 1811 in Madison County Kentucky. Audley and Mary (Elliott) had a daughter, Elizabeth "Betsy" who married Benj/Bond Burnett, son of William Burnett, 1/3/1815 in Madison County. One of their sons, Jeremiah, was my ggg grandfather. have been searching for info on him and Bond for quite some time and have ran into dead ends!! Audley Campbell had 12 children to live between he and his two wives, Mary and Hannah. We know of Elizabeth "Betsy, who was from he & Mary (Elliott) Campbell. We know of David Campbell, who was from Hannah. There is also, Mary, Archibald, and Nancy, that I know of for sure, and know not much about the "rest" of the twelve. I do believe it is possible that they may have had, Margaret, John, Thomas, William, Sally, Elizabeth. These names appear on a land deed with Elizabeth "Betsy" and David Campbell. Am assuming that these are "possible" siblings, grandchildren of "Old" Audley Campbell. I have two land deed copies. One is dated October 1863, and the other September 23, 1865. I'm not quite sure how to "read" these, but on the first, 1863, there is only 21 names mentioned, one being my ggg grandmother and her second husband, John Hoskins. On the second, there are LOTS of names, Grandchildren are included on this one, I am sure, as my gg grandfather, Jeremiah Burnett and his siblings are included on it. Children of Elizabeth "Betsy"
