GREAT Deduction CUZ BH; NOW as we have learned that so many of the records from the Counties that our ancestors were raised were destroyed WHY NOT GET REAL & start examining matearil that MIGHT be availiable, MANY of the old people left something of note in the Churchs, Especaly LDS & QUAKERS AND others; we will have to ask. AND TOO dispence wiith that simple idea that THE Articals in the heritage books are all false, I have; the two heritage books rom Amherst county, one from Nelson, appomattox, Bedford, Rockbridge, GENEALOGY OF Wilmore/Wimer & Duff., Heart breaks of nelson County, FourFamilies,LFE IN THE BLUE RIDGE BY CZ LYLE CAMPBELL, Fondest Memories By CUZ VELMA MAYS WHITE, OUR HERITAGE<Miller, Rose, NIEMANHEDGES From 1520 to 1981 BY Rubinette Miler Nieman; who is a descendant of William George Campbell & Sarah Goode Ca mpbell, Incedently She has relocated to Littleton COL. COUSINS I am not saying that every thing in these books will past Genealogical MUster, BUT BY THE SAME TOKENwe researchers will learn nothing by negitive prereading, common scence will tell one that no one knowswhat is in a book with out it being read, AWWW we do ot have time for that <A_______T? WELL CUZ, that shouldn't be a problem, we have been from 1743 to 2013 270 years not haveing found out GRANNY CATTYS,. MAIDEN NAME. I am confident that there is somme informtion i the FAMILY RECORDS< JUST THINK WHERE THEinformation tht was destroyed during the CIVIL WAR hadto come from te minds of our ancestors<HUMANS> Because the HUMAN BEING IS THE ONLY LIVING THING THAT KEEPS RECORDS. THE records that got destroyed came from some ancestor, NOW with OLE GEORGE Campbell & GRANNY CATTY <UNK> THERE are many cousis out there whoveeryn likely have the information that we are seeking but was officaly destroyed during the CIVIL WAR; BUT THERE IS SOME COMMON SCENCE & EFORT REQUIRED. AGAIN? <ASK & ANSWER QUESTIONS SOME ONE KNOWS>CUZ AT Bill; Agree that there are Campbell’s outside of the Amherst county area that according to DNA tests are closely related to ole George Campbell 1720-1791. These individuals are not included in our data base or followed by the group. But no Campbell or a descendant of a Campbell has ever been turned down from joining the Campbell-kids yahoo group. We are trying now to capture the family lineage information on Lawrence, Henry, Francis and Moses to link to our system as separate links. That still will leave Campbell’s out there with close DNA matches like John that married Amey Webster, Abraham, Fountain, Ellis and this William from Lincoln county Tennessee, as well as many others I am sure. It is a fact that none of these outside relatives belong in the family lineage of ole George as we know his family consists of the 13 children. His lineage is now printing near 800 pages and we are not near done. Do all of these outside relatives belong in the lineage to George I, or John, or Patrick? It is just unfortunate that we do not have access to the court records of Caroline County for that period from 1726 through 1864 as they were destroyed during the civil war. What is the solution? 15 different data bases? I don’t think so....6 different family tree’s is asking a lot....I don’t have a solution or even a recommendation. I do know that our original objective was to create a history and build a family tree for George and Caty Campbell of Piney River....period. We all need to keep digging. But to keep cultivating the same land over and over again does no good. We need new ground to cultivate – work outside the box....after all of these years most of the internet has been screened....There has to be information out there....take for example Fountain Campbell who’s father I have been searching for since I became a Campbell-kid. Fountain knew who his mother and father were by name. He was 14 years old when his father turn him over to Henry Schultz in Augusta County. It is likely that Fountain passed this information to his family who’s off springs continued to pass it down. Its in a letter between family members somewhere...... It is information obtained in unusual ways such as this that is going to provide the answers we need. Regards BH
