John's will, showing that he owned the mill when he died, is good enough for me. I do find it extremely strange that John served on the Guiliford Expedition, but his son's nickname was Guiliford, and not his own. I did read that the mill burned down in 1845 and was rebuilt. Most likely, it was re-built by George Washington "Guiliford" Campbell, based on the birth date that other people gave for him. The only thing that exists from the original mill today is the foundation. I'm going to take a guess and say that both John and his son must have been nicknamed "Guiliford."
