    3. It is so amazing how many Charles Campbells there have been. My 4th gr-grandfather is not known to some I suppose. My cousin and I seem to be the only ones researching this line. Charles lived to be 104 or 107 by some accounts, and he was a Scottish loom weaver. His son, John, served 21 years in the British Army. John lived in the Mullaghbrack parish area of Armagh, Northern Ireland. His sons John, Daniel, Patrick,James, and Felix came to America after 1848,possibly because of their father's passing. We know very little and are almost scrounging for information. Family lore from the 2nd John's family is that we are from Argyll originally. Although not yet proven. Just wish someone could help. I have received information from Roger Frain who is also in this family. If you have information on either of these, please let know and I will share what I have. So very much has happened since then. I would so love to be able to go back and do more research in that wonderful library there and also go down to Winber library. > Do you live in that area? > > If you will send me an idea of which Campbells you are interested, I will see what I might find as I unpack. Then perhaps we will be able to share back and forth. Do you happen to be doing research on the Campbell that married the Mc Coy question? I don't have my records on that here yet. > > Lilly Martin wrote: > To both Sandy Harris, and Cecil Campbell, > I am VERY interested in this line of questioning, have your found any > answers yet?
