If I may join in on your discussion, where in Indiana? My Campbells were in Clark County, IN, in 1840, possibly earlier. Joseph B. Campbell, b.10/26/1788, PA; d. 07/05/1855, Clark Co., IN, and wife Mary, b 12/09/1791, MD; d.09/22/1864, Clark Co., IN, were the parents of (among others) Mary Ann Campbell, b. 06/14/1816; d. 06/05/1847, Clark Co., IN. Mary Ann married Samuel C. Overman 09/22/1836, Clark Co., IN, and was my g-g-great grandmother. Any connection?
