Dear list, With everyone talking again about their "Campbell's" I thought I'd give it a go! William M. Campbell, b, 1850, IL. No known county., m, Georgia - Georgeanna Hopkins, b, N. Y , ca, 1844. I have Georgia Hopkins family back through her dad, George W. Hopkins, b, ca, 1815, N.Y. -Died , KY. prior to 1860, Grant Co. KY. I've found William M. Campbell on several United States census. He always says he was born in IL. and 1850. He also says his Dad was born in PA., and Mother b, N. C. I have all his kids names, no spouses for any of them , except for George P. Campbell, b, 1876, Boone Co. KY...my grandfather. George died of massive heart attack in 1924, is buried in Dayton OH, as well as his wife, Anna Grace Briddell, b, 1886, Dearborn Co., IN. My dad, James E. Campbell, b, 5-22-1905, 3-16-1974, is their first born. William M . Campbell, shows up in 1900 Louisville KY census- with wife and kids- then on the 1910 census, he's in Dayton , OH census, living with his youngest daughter, Maggie b, 1883, Boone Co. KY m, Ross Tischer, d, Dayon OH 1937. This is as far as I can take my Campbell's as KY. didn't start keeping death records until, 1911. Yes, I've been to Frankfort KY., many times , and have read all the death records they have searching for Georgia ( Hopkins) Campbell's death- she WAS on the 1900 census, but not after that! Also , I've been to Dayton, Oh., searching for death records for William M. Campbell, all I get is the biggest brick wall you've ever seen! Any help greatly appreciated!
