When I went down there I was worse than a kid,s first trip to the Candy store. They Have Census for each County as well as Marriage Records. A print out at that time cost 25 cents, BUT I just copied what I wanted. I hear that My 4th Grt Grand Parent;s John Campbell & Frances were Married but no one Seems to have Seen a record of the Marriage, Which Leads me to wonder abt a list That I have where one John Campbell Did Mary one Elizabeth Wright in York County in 1779, She was the Daughter of Benjamin Wright. There is nfornmation in a Listing of one of the Sorrells Genealogies, That states that Benjamin Wright Had a Common law Union with one Sorrells Woman. < ?_____??> I believe that There was a Daughter born into that Common Law Union, & When it was over <HOW EVER, Perhaps Death in Child Birth, Benjamin Wright Got the Daughter, Then Married. John Campbell WAS at Yorktown in the REV WAR, I say,& believe it Possible that when John Campbell Got back to Lowesville, Va. with his Bride, & in Benjamin Wright's home area, with a Wife that was older than Benjamin Wright Could have had by his Legally Married Wife, Now, to save Embarrassment for BEN. Wright, My Fourth Grt Grand Mother Became JUST, Frances, & 226 years Later I believe that the Truth should come out as to What Grand Ma's Maiden Name Realy is. I believe that <FRANCES> Was the Elizabeth Wright, The Daughter that Married John Campbell in York County in 1779. John Campbell & Frances Probably have Several thousand Descendents by now & all of them are My Cousin's, & likely never Heard or thought of a scene as I have described. I am inclined to believe it hard to prove,______?, BUT i am just as confident that not one of MY cousin,s can DISPROVE it. I have Francis Wright Family, Generation's # 1, 2, 3, & 5 & no where does it show a Frances Wright Married to John Campbell, There are several Listings of John Campbell & Frances Children having Married other People in these Wright Listings. Nothing abt A- Frances Wright Having Married John Campbell, I Believe the reason for that,____?? is that it was swept under the Family RUG OF SILENCE. Thank you for that bit pertaining to Patrick Campbell. That is one of my lines and while in the hospial, that information was lost. I am now out once again and will hopefully be able to rael this coming summer. I now have someone who will ravel with me so that the family will not worry about me. Now, You said that Richmon had a lot of information. I am not only searching for the Campbell calns of Va. bu am also looking for a break in a brick wall on the Dilley family of Faquier Co., Va. I don't know if they moved or if the co. line moved for Stafford and Prince Williams Co., of Va. So far, we have found almost nothing on this other line and was wondering if you could send me some information on where the best genealogical lib. were in that part of the county as I will be coming from the extreem Pacific N. W. When I get back home again, will start typing tghe rest of the Hawkins Co., Tn. data that I do have.
