    2. Margie Campbell
    3. Elias Jr married Clhoe Swindler per records I have. Some have said he was the father of Ellis Campbell b 1804 in VA, but I don't see any proof of a connection, and I would need paper documentation. I have found his family listed, but never a son named Ellis, nothing close to the naming pattern Ellis Campbell used. Sam, I just had this lil old file in my hands last nite.. If I see it when I start taping up the boxes, I'll post the info..otherwise will be after January. My E-Mail is; sgt_sam_wash_co@yahoo.com I wished that I could help you, but I am still trying to get more Information on Fountain Campbell & he traveled a lot { every Census 1830 / 1840 / 1850 / 1860 / 1870 } until his death in 1872 he lived in a different area, so difficult to track him { I never know where to look next for him, so I just kept looking until he popps up again. From 1856 until his death he paid Taxes on 156 Acres of Land in Dist. # 3 / Greene County. TN. / Caney Branch Area. Boarders of his Land were Cocke County, TN. & Meadow Creek, & when I get a chance I plan on going to the Area & check it out for myself. Keep in touch & when I find out anything else I will let you know, or if you find out anything else let me know !!!!!!!!!!! I have an Elias Campbell who married Elizabeth (Yowell). He was a Rev. War Solider. He died in the late 1790's. They were from Madison Co. VA. At least three of their daughters married and moved to East TN, Cocke Co. to be exact. I don't have any dates at my finger tips right now, other that the death date of Elias Campbell. They also had at least two sons---John and Elias Jr. I don't have anything on the boys. Would you happen to have any of these names in your data base? Just wondering if we might connect. I have not started researching this line, as of yet, due to my limited time that I can spend on genealogy. Elias and Elizabeth would be my ggggg Grandparents. Pretty far back, and would like to connect with a Campbell researcher who has more on this line. The children of Elias and Elizabeth are 1. Elizabeth 2. Mary (my line) 3. Francis (Franky) 4. Sarah 5. Nancy "Ann" 6. John and 7. Elias Jr. Elizabeth (the daughter) married first a Mr. Sisk and second James Gray Mary married Bartlett Sisk Sr. Francis married Augustine Lillard Sarah married John Lillard Nancy "Ann" married James Gray (the same James Gray as her sister, Elizabeth's second husband Out of those children Mary and Bartlett Sisk moved to Cocke Co. TN, as did Sarah and John and Nancy "Ann" and James. Like I said, I know nothing about the two boys and who they married or where they lived. If you have time, please drop me a line, if you think we might connect. Best Regards, Brenda (Hightower) Berger, MO ============================== View and search Historical Newspapers.
