Elias Jr married Clhoe Swindler per records I have. Some have said he was the father of Ellis Campbell b 1804 in VA, but I don't see any proof of a connection, and I would need paper documentation. I have found his family listed, but never a son named Ellis, nothing close to the naming pattern Ellis Campbell used. Sam, I just had this lil old file in my hands last nite.. From 1856 until his death he paid Taxes on 156 Acres of Land in Dist. # 3 / Greene County. TN. / Caney Branch Area. Boarders of his Land were Cocke County, TN. & Meadow Creek, & when I get a chance I plan on going to the Area & check it out for myself.
