This gentleman is my brick wall. Stephen / Steven is not a common Campbell name. He is believed to have been b. 1824/5. He married Mary Rose Mc Clellan in IA and they moved to Vernon, WI around 1850. On one census the census taker states him to be from CT in an other year it is stated he came from PA. As we ALL know the state boundaries were changing rapidly during the late 1700 and even into and including the 1800. So his family could have been any where from VA north. Feed back anyone?
