    3. GoodEvening, My grandson found this binder and brought it to me. Thank goodness the data was still in it. This informationis from the Hawkins Co.,Tn. genealogical room. It is hand written so will try and copy has it is written. . Here goes, Eddie Rose Campbell, son of R.S.and Sallie R. Campbell was born at Sedalia, Hancock County, Tenn. May 9,1844. He professed religion in the year 1892 while in college at Mossy Creek,Tenn.and at once joined the Baptist Church at that place under the ministry of Rev.S.S.Hale. He died February 10, 1899 at Longfield, LeeCounty, Va. There is more so if you are interested in this gentleman let me know. I could not find any data pertaining to his having descendants. Now, the library in Rogerville,Tn. is where the Hawkins Co. Genealogical and History Soc.meet. The following is more data that I collected there. Rober tCampbell -son of Duncan of Scotland emigrated to Ireland 1700. Thence to Stockbridge Co.,Va.about1730. (This is also all hand written, abc) 1745 Rober tCampbell - one of 20 appointed by Gov.Gooch - when he issued the commission of peace - all of Augusta Co.,Va. Wm Campbell born 1745 - at an early age set (settled ? abc) on the Holston. He ?? during the seige at Yorkstown at age of36. Nov.28,1750- Robert Campbell whom ?????(?) ??and was purchased acknowedge-payment Augusta Co. 1748 Andrew Campbell bought a lot in Stanton(?) Augusta Co.?????? Bank (J?) B.Campbell P.M. Referencefor - Standard Manufacturing New Cumberland, W.Va. Co. New Cumberland, W.VA. Of Scotch Irish descent Came from Scotland to Maryland. At the bottom of the page there has been penceled in "anarrorw the mixedup information (VAC)" On another page is Andrew Winton Campbell married Julia Ann Carmack on August 24, 1869 at C.(E?) Carmack's minister Rev.Ruben Stule witness Rachel A.Sanders and Hayes(H?) Camarack. Joseph Campbell - Methodist lived a Christian life some years near Sneedville. Many in HawkinsCo.on Big Creek, where he reared his family. From thense toClaiborneCo.,Tenn. He married 1820 to Frances Vermillion called "Franky" of RussellCo.,Va. (someone on this site was asking abouit the Campbell -Vermillion family perhaps comeing from Russell Co. Va. abc) He was a farmer, lived near "Geasy Rock" or Sneedville He was buried N.W.of residence where three of his children lie sleeping and many others also.He died 1867. Jessie Vermillion - place of birth was Maryland or Scotland - ancestory originally French Hugenots. Sons Wilson& JesseeVermillion - 1777 he volenteered in state Militia Frank Nash's Reg. 1780 -joined Capt Timbell's Co.in Col John ????? Reg and must have been in Battle of King's Mountain, N.C. Must have settled in Washington or Russell Co.,Va. d. 1720 - 25- buried Ruissell Co.,Va. Wilson Vermillion (b. Rkussell Co.,Va.) married Nancy (?) Mc Neil. Frances Vermillion b.March 1, 1801, Russell Co.,Va. Methodist - married 1820 to Joseph Campbell, Sneedville, Howkins and ClaiborneCo.,Tn. d. Dec.25,1873 (?) buried in family graveyard with husband & children., tombstones marks grave -N. W.of Residence.
