Ellis b 1804 in VA is all I have. He had children: Matthew b 1832 AL, James Mehlande b 1834 AL, Ambrose b 1835 AL, Dorcas b 1839-40 Ripley co MO, Wesley (Wiley) b 1842 MO, Mary Ann b abt 1844 MO, Fountaine b 1849 MO, Elizabeth b 1850 MO, Malinda b abt 1852 MO, Dicey b abt 1856 MO, & Susie Belle (Susan) b abt 1857 MO. Fountaine is not a common name for a Campbell. Sam Campbell & I are wondering if Ellis and Fountaine could be brothers, which is what I am waiting for DNA test results to prove/disprove. If I had a daddy for good ol Ellis Campbell (Camel, etc.).. I would be in 7th heaven. Are you talking Augusta co VA? Have no idea at all where in VA. Ellis is in Lincon co TN in 1830 with what we think is a first wife and three girls, 2 under five years and one between five and ten years old. Any suggestions?
