DUNCAN CAMPBELL, was born about 1728 in Scotland. The LDS site says he was born in Glasgow, though this is not confirmed. He died in Moore County, N.C. in February 1832. DUNCAN married CHRISTIAN STEWART September 2, 1770 in Edinburgh Parish, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland. She was born in 1739 in the Parish of Fortingale, Perth, Scotland, and died in Moore County in 1839. Their first child was John Calvin Campbell, baptised September 1, Edinburgh Parish, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland. The little Campbell family came to Moore County, N.C. sometime before 1775. Daughter Catherine was born in 1777, and son, Daniel, was born in 1780 in Moore County. There was probably another daughter, but I have no information. Cornelia Holmes North Carolina
