    3. Just me again, My grandson came running to me bringing one of my binders that said Campbell on it. I open it and all of the protective pages were in it but none of the information. There or to get things started, I will post some information that has been sent tome earlier. Perhaps some one will be able to connect into this line. What I have started with James K. Polk Campbell. It appears that they had no other information earlier. If the person who sent this to me, will contact me, I will be able to give them more information. James K.Polk Campbell was married to Mary M.Jennings on Sept.21, 1875. She was born @ Apr. 10, 1853 and died after July 1942. She was buried at Haven Hill, Richland Co., Olney, Ill. (Is there anyone doing research in the Olney area? I would love to know if that person could find the burial records for Richard H. Campbell and his first wife, Martha Ann Parrott) According to what I have before me, James and Mary had one son but they have no information pertaining to him. Under this son, there is an Ora Campbell born@ 1876 in Richland Co.,Ill who married Mary Sly on Apr 11, 1896 in Parkersburg, RichlandCo., Ill. It shows a of James K.Polk Campbell Charles Campbell born @ 1882 in Ky. under him is Pearl Campbell born Aug. 24, 1889, Olney, Richalnd Co., Ill. and died Jan. 16, 1970. He married Retha L. Shouel (that isthe spelling I see) on Jan. 28, 1913 in Olney who was born @ 1897 in Wayne Co., Ill. and she is died in Jan. of 1970. It shows the children of Charles and Pearl Campbell as Mayo born @ 1902 Beatrice CAmpbell born @ 1904 James born @ 1906 Loren CAmpbell born @ 19807. These records also show Altha Campbell, born Oct. 23, 1891 in Bone Gap, Edwards Co., Ill and she died Aug. 30, 1971 in Matoon Illinois Memorial Hospital She was married to Edward Ennis on Aug. 7, 1908 in Olney, Richland county Ill. She later married William R.Zimmerle Sr. on Julyi 25, 1921 in Vincennes, Ind. Alta Campbell and Charles Ennis had a daughter Mary Elizabeth Ennis born Juliy 4, 1918 in Mooresville, Morgan Co., Ind. She died Dekc. 6, 1999 in Olney, Ill. She married Walter Alvin Gibbs Julyi 22, 1936 in Olney. Now, sinceIdo nothave my records I will say only that this family will probably tie into those of Richard H. and his brother George Washington (Wash) Campbell . Not sure if he would be one of the other brothers or not but either way he would be descendant of Abraham and Wennie (Seiver) Campbell line which has already been posted. Now, will someone else post somethingthat they may have. OH!!!! I found an "OLD!!!!!" letter that just for thought I would like to post. Perhaps you have this kind of letter somewhere. My family just love to read these old letters. Grandfather, How warm the sun shines in my heart to think of you. So many fond momories of years past. Being older now, I know you had a shady side too, but oh so beautiful your "Sunday Best" side. You were such a rascal a thow you made so many people stop and look around. The water fight on the sidewalk with the little boy, just so you could accidently, get that all-dressed-up-lady soaking wet. Did you ever find out where she was going? That poor old lady who's shoes simply disappeared at the Lloyd's Center while she was resting on a bench. How long did she discretelyi look? I've heard you hid them for almost an hour before you silently put them back. How you pretended to be a chicken (or was it a duck) at the bottom of Grand Coulee Dam. Remember while you were working you discovered hollow shafts from bottom to top that echoed up. All the construction workers couldn't figure out what a live chicken was doing at the top of that concrete dam, but they sure looked for it. And you never explained? (that isn't quite like the story actually went but it is close enough. abc) The Easter Picnics at Beacon Rock Park. It would take us all day to climb to the top of the mountain to the waterfalls. All the grandchildren able to walk climbed up and most of our parents too. Did any of us ever get to the top before you? All the huckle-berry picking excursions every summer. You always had to get everyone together at least once a year and out productively in the fresh mountain air. All yuour songs and soft shoe routines. Did you know that the last time I saw you do a song and dance rouotine, _______was with me. He still occassionally imitates you and shuffles it out. He reminds me a lot of you. He's a clown;' he llikes to see people comfortable and I'm thanfull that you knew______and liked him. I still like him too. He's a very good father, he plays games with the children, similar to the ones you played with everyone. He's a very hard worker and provider, he loves us. You taught me to sing in my hearat. To enjoy just being alive, to try to love and be kind to everyone. The simple things, the free things in life. Imiss you grandpa______ - I miss your stories, your twinkling eyes and your smile very much. Did I ever say "I love you" enough? My kids will learn to knowand love you, I promise. You'll always be loved and very dear in my heart- in all the hearts of all who knowand meetyou. Love, Your Grandaughter, _________" Just thought that some of this sosrt of lettersin the family records would make those long gone come to life for us once again.
