OK, gonna try this again, has anybody run across a Campbell-Strickland connection? My grandma was born a Campbell, and married a Strickland. They lived in Dallas county, Selma, Alabama. I find no record of birth, death or censes for them. I know only that the Strickland she married went by the name of David. I do not know if that was his real name, first name or middle name. Her name was sarah Campbell. She has a brother nmaed Buford, and a sister named Selma, who goes by the name of Furnace. Furnace (Selma) married a Godwin. All lived , or are still living in Selma, Alabama. "David" Strickland died when my mother was about 7, she thinks...so she was born in 1945, so he would have died about 1946. Sarah's father, or Grandfather had a nickname of "Black Jack" That is about all I know about him, except his wife's name may have been Bessie, or Betsy, or Bestie. There is supposed to be a Day surnmae , but I have no idea where in the line that come in at. I have sent a e-mail to that address( I cant remeber what it is called at the moment),l where you ask for a look up think it had something about angels in it...but that was 4 or 5 months ago, and I havent heard back from them. I have searched ancestry .com, and roots web, and the usgenweb pages, and god knows where else.
